Obviously, I rather be lounging in a boutique hotel where it's nice and sunny right now.
That served as an inspiration for my next UI challenge. Here's a navigation bar for a boutique hotel website. I kept it simple and minimal which makes it easy for users to navigate and make a decision. Making 'Book your Stay' button highlighted creates emphasis and clear navigation. Once a user clicks on it, a drop down menu would appear where they can indicate their check in and check out dates, along with the number of guests.
If I were to develop further on this, I would certainly include the following:
Calendar view to select dates. Whilst aesthetically a simple drop down menu with dates, month and year would look pleasing. I think a calendar view would help users have a clearer overview of their desired dates, take note of weekends and days of the week.
The rest of the website would have messaging to share more about the hotel, events, and must-see points of interests.
In the burger menu, it could potentially navigate to: Dinner, Shop, Directions, Contact us and FAQs. (Which would also be shown across the websites front page and footer.
It's always great fun exploring and learning from other interesting forms of website navigation bars there are out there.
Here are some:

In a left column: https://www.seb-astian.com/
In all four sides: https://www.wearesky.com/home
Keeping in mind that for desktop view, you have the entire space to play around with. We need not be limited to the top spaces. That being said, it has to be designed to be friendly, clear and one that adds to the overall branding.
