#2 Checkout

A check out flow would consist of:

Product page --> Shopping cart --> Review items --> Shipping and Billing Information --> Payment Information --> Order Confirmation

But here's a shopping cart view for a mock up beauty commerce app, I've branded 'Fresh'. I chose to do create two design options as I wanted to push the limits of how a shopping cart view could differ. But I realised there are pros and cons to both designs and I would be curious to know what your thoughts are!

Design A

Design B

Pros

  • User is able to view most of their items at one glance.

  • User is able to view the price of items easily.

  • A floating hamburger menu icon within thumb zone allows user to easily navigate to other pages of the website.

  • Item thumbnail appears large and so user can review items easily.

  • User does not need to scroll too far down to review total cost.

Cons

  • Item thumbnail appears small and sometimes it can be hard to review your items quickly.

  • User is not able to view most of their items at one glance.

Improvements:

  • Indicate a clearer navigation to 'continue shopping'.

  • Indicate that item thumbnails can be tapped to go to product page.

What other improvements should I make if I were to redesign this shopping cart page?
